Graph Analytic Systems Engineer

Job Description

Develop graph analytics on a variety of software and hardware platforms.
Work with Data Scientists and End Users to identify graph analytics that might be useful to solve mission problems.
Identify opportunities for improving performance of graph analytics and work with other developers or vendors to improve performance.
Collaborate with internal and external researchers in Graph Analytics and Data Science to keep current with the technology and new ideas for applying graph analytics to problems.
Must work well in a collaborative team environment using Agile methodologies.
Experience in one or more of the following technologies are preferred:

  • Graph analytics in Spark
  • Map/Reduce
  • MPI
  • Neo4j
  • Graphistry
  • GPU Programming


  • Typical Education & Experience

    Bachelor's Degree and 15 years work experience or equivalent experience

    Required Skills and Education

    Candidates shall have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or 5 years of full time Computer Science work that can be substituted for the BS degree. The Systems Engineer III should have twelve (12) years experience in programs that encompass system architecture, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation; Experience in developing strategic and implementation plans for information systems; experience in developing system architecture and design including software, hardware, communications and interface requirements; Experience in leading systems definition, trade-off and design activities; experience in leading analysis of system functionally, operation, and performance requirements are archived; Experience in system performance analysis; and Experience in planning the next generation system.
