Geospatial Technician

Job Description

Manages solutions and technical problems with workflow and scope.

Develops and maintains project workflow.

Integrates project quality plan into the workflow.

Supports requirement and delivery order level workflow development.

Performs and coordinates advanced technical activities to support production and workflow improvements and efficiencies.

Coordinates with the Technical Lead on project level WMX actions and supports Requirement Coordinators on requirement level WMX actions.

Supports planning and execution of internal and external data harvesting efforts.

Supports customer interaction in providing solutions and communicating technical problems.

Uses ArcGIS and various Arc modules such as Production Mapping and Spatial Analyst for complex database builds.

Performs and coordinates complex GIS finishing cartographer activities and quality assurance using ESRI software involving both manual and automated processes to ensure compliance with customer technical specifications.

Ensures that products are being produced with quality and efficiency through the receipt of regular problem mitigation, guidance, quality assurance checks, and feedback.

Completes production tasks assigned by the Production Lead or Production Manager.

Performs tasks in accordance with established company policies and procedures.

Reports issues or non-compliant activities to regarding safety, security, and quality policies to the Production Lead when project related and the department/line management when program related in a timely manner.

Participates in two-way communications at all levels between internal shifts and offices as well as external business partners, customers and subcontractors.

Actively conforms to the company quality policy.

Adheres to policies to ensure each day is a safe, secure, and hazard-free working experience.

Mentors the assigned team of technicians as needed with regard to software use/functionality and higher level specification verification and photo interpretation.

Required Skills and Education

Required education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Skills:
- Experience using ESRI ArcGIS platform and tools.
- Ability to pass a 3D stereo-visualization test.
- Python Scripting
- Microsoft Office
- In depth knowledge of data standards, GAIT
- Imagery analysis experience

- Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS platform and tools.
- Ability to pass a 3D stereo-visualization test.
- Microsoft Office.
