Geospatial Analyst

Under general direction, leads research and provides geospatial analysis services. Responsible for providing all support services and products required to complete the detailed description of work and responsibilities. Familiarity with a diverse array of GIS related technology; advanced knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems; skilled in performing queries and manipulating geographically referenced data; ability to effectively plan and manage projects; and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Capable of working independently and also collaborate with the broader team to include explaining GIS concepts and supporting them while also ingesting multi-INT information and data into geospatial products. Ability to develop prediction and querying capabilities in model development and develop professional relationships.

Experience using ESRI products developing applications in ArcGIS using including ArcObjects (preferred) or MapObjects; modeling with ArcSDE; GIS Server or ArcIMS site development, implementations and maintenance. Design, analyze, and develop geospatial solutions and product specifications for infrastructure features for global geospatial images and products. Analyze and integrate geospatial intelligence from all collection sources available. Perform Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analyses on resource data. Proficient in the application and use of Network analysis, data management, versioned editing, Visual Basic (VB), Python (arcpy) scripting. Provide general all-source intelligence analysis to include permutations and conversion of geodatabase files, shapefiles, Google Earth KML/KMZ, and CSV files. Regular expression usage, temporal expressions, and geospatial representations (datum, projections, and coordinate systems). Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Candidate must possess in depth understanding of, and experience using, the following:

ESRI ArcGIS products, including ArcObjects (preferred) or MapObjects; modeling with ArcSDE; GIS Server or ArcIMS site development, implementations and maintenance. Regular expression usage, temporal expressions, and geospatial representations (datum, projections, and coordinate systems. Python, Web API, Java, Macro, C++, Visual Basic programming skills. Knowledge of research programs, imagery, GIS data file formats, and applications. ERDAS imagine, Imagery Exploitation Software, (SOCET GXP, RemoteView). Preferred Skills and Education Required education: High School/GED or Bachelor’s degree, depending on level of position.
