General Maintenance Mechanic 1

BAE Systems is looking for a General Maintenance Mechanic to join our 2nd shift team in Nashua, NH

Performs industrial floor care operations, routine maintenance activities, and general custodial duties in order to provide and maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and employees.

Maintains cleanrooms and other critical environments to meet or exceed minimum compliance frequencies and standards for cleanliness. Utilizes a variety of machines, equipment and chemicals to strip, seal, refinish, restore, buff and burnish floors; and to clean carpets, upholstery and other fabrics. Maintains and performs minor repairs on the equipment used to accomplish the above tasks. Adheres to company and regulatory procedures regarding the use and handling of hazardous and bio-hazardous materials. Regularly inventories level of chemicals, equipment and supplies and completes paperwork necessary to order replacement stock. Maintains accurate records of work performed on a daily basis. Notes time to complete assigned work, difficulties encountered and special projects completed. Performs general maintenance duties such as snow removal, furniture moving and loading and unloading trucks. Performs routine custodial duties such as floor care, bathrooms and trash removal as assigned. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Skills and Education Requires a High School education or equivalent and one (1) year of related experience.

Work requires constant physical effort such as walking, lifting and/or moving of materials and equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.

Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Skills and Education Preferred experience in custodial maintenance of cleanroom, critical environments, or electronic manufacturing and/or engineering areas. Experience in FOD and ESD sensitive areas.
