General Laborer

BAE Systems Hawaii Shipyard is hiring General Laborers in our Labor Department. The candidate will report directly to the Craft Manager. The candidate will also interact with the company’s program team members (ship superintendents, project managers, program managers, etc.) craft managers and other Craft Departments. The select candidate will assist various department trades including general clean-up, paint removal, and firewatch etc. Required Skills and Education Must have a high school diploma or GED

Able to read and write

Must be a US Citizen

Must be able to board ships and enter all spaces regardless of size to complete inspections and ensure compliance of safety rules

Must be able to walk up and down stairs

Must have a valid driver’s license

Must be able to interact with a variety of people in a variety of settings. Handle physically demanding environments (rain, wind, heat, heights, confined spaces, etc.)
