FMS Project Coordinator

Job Description
Coordinates test scheduling, documentation reviews, test execution, analysis, requirements management, meetings, and report generation in support of successful development and integration of Computer Programs to meet Certification.

  • Prepares and coordinates plans and schedules for new or current Foreign Military Sales programs
  • Determines, monitors, and reviews program schedules and manpower requirements
  • Analyzes effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Test & Evaluation, and Logistics to determine support requirements and obtain the required resources
  • Resolves program support and preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters as well as Releasability policy and procedures
  • Applies technical and engineering principles in performing work in FMS area requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria providing, support to our customer and management of support provided by Subject Matter Experts
  • Applies FMS Design review and Development processes, methods, and philosophy and
    participates with Engineers in the review of specifications and coordinates Development and Integration efforts
  • Provides support through review of design documentation for Major Milestone Reviews, development processes, integration testing, and acceptance of computer programs and specifications
  • Generates project assumptions for financial forecasting based on program deliverables
Required Skills and Education
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with DoD/DON programs, Industry or Government technical management, and Industry or Government business management with a strong focus on Navy/AEGIS programs
  • Security Clearance Requirement: Must a secret level DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience with development and maintenance of computer programs
  • Understanding of the Systems Engineering Development Lifecycle
Preferred Skills and Education
  • Active DoD security clearance
  • BS degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience with AEGIS FMS development programs
  • Project Management experience
  • Bachelor degree (BS/BA) in a related engineering field, or a minimum of 15 years of experience of in-depth specialized knowledge in the related field such as computer programming
