Do you want to gain experience in a variety of financial disciplines in three years? BAE Systems is seeking highly motivated individuals to join its Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP)!

What would I gain from becoming an FLDP?

An FLDP position offers significant responsibility, independence, and visibility.

Experience: FLDP consists of three, one-year rotations, each with increasing responsibility. These rotations provide a diverse set of experiences through challenging assignments, financial and leadership training opportunities, mentoring, and advanced education.

Diversity: Rotations will be within finance and accounting functions such as: Program Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, General Accounting, and Internal Audit/Controls.

Job Rotation Location: The first rotation will take place in Endicott NY with the ability to relocate to other locations outside of Endicott based on business needs.

Educational Advancement: Members of the program complete various in-house trainings that focus on program control, accounting, and government contracting at BAE Systems. We also offer tuition assistance for graduate school.

Support: A significant element of the Financial Leadership Development Program is the FLDP Leadership team. Each participant is assigned a coordinator who will work to expose FLDPs to diverse and challenging experiences while providing direction in choosing rotations, career planning, and development.
Personal Growth: The program seeks to facilitate the growth of an individual's leadership skills and style through the various training and networking opportunities. Each year participants attend a week-long leadership development conference (LDC). These conferences provide specialized leadership training and an opportunity for the FLDPs to meet senior BAE Systems executives and other leadership development program participants from around the company.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education
Bachelor's or master's degree with a business related focus

Excellent academic record with a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher

Strong leadership qualities

Ability and willingness to relocate and work at various sites

Superior communication skills

Achievement in non-academic pursuits such as athletics, clubs and organizations, special projects, military service, and prior work experience

Capacity and motivation for hard work

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a US Department of Defense security clearance

Rotations will start June 2020
