Firetip Task Manager

Job Description
The Firetip Family of Programs is seeking a Task Manager to support multiple Firetip contracts within the Advanced Electronic Warfare Solutions (AEWS) Product Area and Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) Business Area.

The Task Manager will support efforts across the lifecycle of programs (proposal, design, development, production, sustainment) by employing the processes of initiating and planning, monitoring and controlling, executing, and closing tasks/projects.
This position is a unique opportunity for an energetic, motivated individual to develop project/program management and leadership skills while supporting a diverse range of contracts and efforts across the Firetip portfolio in southern New Hampshire.

Examples of specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 'Tiger Team' tasking/projects (planning and execution); special security program support (data transfers, etc); action item organization, tracking and reporting; capital requests and management; program communication (email newsletters, etc); coordinating and supporting internal and customer meetings (meeting minutes, etc); assisting with proposals; and other special projects/duties at the direction of the Firetip Program Director and senior staff.

The ideal candidate is persistent (to close on open issues), confident (working with customers), and coachable (quick learner). The candidate should be capable of working independently and within team(s) to solve problems. Firetip has a team of Program Managers available to guide and mentor junior PMs. The ideal candidate is also:

  • Interested in pursuing program management as a career
  • Ready to grow their PM skills with coaching and support from a senior PM staff
  • Eligible for special access clearance and familiar with special security requirements
  • Ready to roll up their sleeves and support the program with whatever is needed!
Typical Education & Experience

Required Skills and Education
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance. Strong organizational and communication skills. Flexible, adaptable, strong initiative. Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously. Desire to learn and apply Program Management processes and techniques.

Preferred Skills and Education
Familiar with BAE Systems project lifecycle and program experience at BAE Systems (regardless of function)
