Financial Analyst Senior

This position will perform accounting, financial analysis, earned value management or cost estimating duties which will require a broad knowledge of accounting, financial, earned value management or cost estimating theory and practice. This position will record, classify, examine, analyze, and report on data related to financial transactions to ensure current, accurate, and complete financial information. This position will collect, summarize, and analyze financial/cost data for use in developing cost proposals, performance measurement, and earned value management reporting and operational trends.

This position will be responsible for the generation and will assist in the reconciliation of EVMS baselines by WBS and resulting reporting, as part of a team of analysts. The position will assist the Project Scheduler with the creation of the IMS as it relates to work packages and cost accounts within respective areas of responsibility. Will assist in the planning and preparation for Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR). Will play an integral part in the generation of the Contract Performance Report (CPR).

May develop and review complex financial data for inclusion in cost proposals, contract reviews, forecasts or variance explanations. May generate financial data for inclusion in indirect and forward pricing rate package submissions. May provide explanation of financial data to management and function leaders as appropriate. May lead or participate in audits and may interface with auditors to ensure understanding of financial data, methodology, and applicability under appropriate regulations.

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Experience with earned value management in a defense environment to include baseline generation, performance, variance analysis, estimate-at-completion generation, and scheduling. Must work well in a multi-site teaming environment. Must have good communication skills, both orally and in writing. Must have good planning, time management and organization skills. Must be able to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Familiarity with the ANSI 32 EVMS Guidelines and the DFAR/FAR regulations a plus. Experienced in the use of Cobra, Open Plan, and MS Project. Use of MS Office tool suite a plus.
