Financial Analyst III

Job Description

BAE Systems is currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant. In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Main finance interface with Program Management/Operations on assigned projects
  • Track all assigned projects' creation, expenditures, and closeout
  • Support month-end closing activities
  • Prepare monthly CSR's and coordinate, at a minimum, monthly meetings with each PM to review program financial data
  • Prepare monthly contract review data packs for modernization programs
  • Complete monthly Account Reconciliations
  • Support weekly salient flash updates
  • Complete all project accounting self-assessments
  • Support Internal Audit & Financial Control Framework Testing
  • Prepare and report QBR and IBP salient forecasts and enter forecast data into Hyperion; assist with completion of risks and opportunities charts
  • Support Modernization proposal process as needed
  • Support other ad hoc analysis, projects, or data requests
  • Apply Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulation knowledge to assignments, as appropriate
  • Manage multiple assignments/projects simultaneously
  • Coordinate program finance process improvement projects
  • Learn company business to provide maximum value
Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education Preferred Skills and Education
  • Master's Degree
  • 5+ years financial analysis experience
  • Knowledge of Hyperion queries and input
  • Earned Value Management
  • Experience within government contracting environment including Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Knowledge of MS Access and SQL queries and reports
  • Experience leading cross functional teams
