Field Service Engineer - Test Program Set (TPS)

BAE Systems has an opening for a Field Service Engineer (FSE) with Electronic Warfare (EW) experience to support troubleshooting EW hardware Line Replaceable Components (LRCs) for F/A-18 aircraft and Test Program Set (TPS) sustainment in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Field Service Representative (FSE) will conducts technical and logistical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements in accordance with technical specifications. Troubleshoots technical problems, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution for the F-35 EW System. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. May conduct technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as the local on-site representative to customer's organization. Support local maintenance in the troubleshooting of the F-35 EW system on the aircraft at deployed locations.
The FSE will also provide a myriad of engineering technical services, instructor & maintainer training, mission planning, modeling/graphics and technical publications development used to support world-wide customer installation, test & integration, operation, maintenance and modification of various equipment and systems. This may include the actual performance of maintenance actions.
The FSE will specifically provide Software/TPS Engineering support utilizing National Instruments' Test Stand test management environment application in the following EW TPS areas: development, integration, system test, training, and maintenance concepts for prime electronic systems/subsystems.
The successful candidate will perform engineering tasks associated with supporting the development of EW TPSs utilizing the National Instruments Test Stand application and providing software development support to the US Government.
This individual will be work closely with the US Government customer and other BAE Systems Field Engineers to define TPS support equipment requirements and top level system architecture design for testability and maintainability.
Travel requirements anticipated to be less than 10% of the time.
Active Secret Security Clearance Required.
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Engineering or a related major or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 - 4 years Automated Test Systems (ATS) Related Experience
Experience using, supporting or developing TPSs utilizing the National Instruments' Test Stand application and successfully integrated the TPSs with the system under test (SUT)
Proficient with ATE COTS instrumentation (VME, IEEE-488)
Experience with EW and/or RF/Microwave electrical troubleshooting, maintenance and fault isolation abilities using standalone RF Test Equipment (Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.) associated with EW fault diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair.
Active Secret Security Clearance
Must be able to work closely with Government and Military customer and other Field Engineers
Preferred Skills and Education
It is desired that the candidate also be trained for on aircraft EW maintenance to provide as needed support at F/A-18 bases.
