Field Service Engineer II

Provide on-site marketing of vehicles, and company services and capabilities.

Interface directly with customer and user, achieving satisfactory level of responsiveness.

Operate, troubleshoot and repair vehicles, interface with the government, the military, and internal company organizations, as required, to provide necessary information/data.

Identify and execute appropriate requirements for a field office/site.

Perform and/or reports on performance of LOB product line.

Assure conformance to test plans and provides field support.

Collect, record and provide data to home office to Quality and RAM standards.

Coordinate test and test results with Engineering.

Develop and conduct vehicle and component formal and informal training programs.

Develop and conduct vehicle and component formal and informal training programs.

Liaison with customers, users and LOB personnel.

Work within contract/budget restraints and scope of work.

Provide technical guidance and advice to the customer.

Present a positive image of self and company’s products and services.

Work effectively with differing customers and cultures.

Travel any place, at any time, including adverse conditions, relocating on short notice to support assignment.

Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.

Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Knowledge of military maintenance systems (all levels of repair).

Knowledge of appropriate technical manuals and engineering data.

Must be able to interpret and use all types of engineering drawings and schematics.

Detail understanding of system troubleshooting techniques.

Familiar with the use and operation of TMDE (Test Measurement) type diagnostic equipment.

Technically proficient in vehicle operation, mechanics and electronics. Experience in the mechanical/electronic field of relevant military products; technical knowledge depth must be first through fourth level of maintenance repair.

Basic computer skills.

Understanding of the military structure.

Proficiently use all types of hand tools, shop tools, including micrometers, depth gages and finish gages.

Use all types of power tools, lifting devices, carrying or support equipment in a safe/sure manner.

Be able to develop and present vehicle and component formal and informal training programs.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to sit, move about, and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions:

Minimal office environment. Primarily harsh field conditions (domestic and foreign) and test conditions (inside/external).

Preferred Skills and Education Marine Corp Occupational Field 2141 Assault Amphibious Vehicle Repairer / Technician with 10 years’ experience.

Specialized technical knowledge of relevant military design standards. Certain positions may require specialized technical knowledge.
