F35 Business Process Engineering

BAE Systems is currently seeking a qualified candidate for one of our F-35 Sustainment Operations areas. The successful candidate will operate as a member of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Sustainment Performance Management (SPM) Business Rules Team located at the Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The team’s primary focus is to facilitate the development of business processes and tools, using a Business Rule methodology. The candidate must have the ability to recognize the challenges of global sustainment and how to develop and mature business rules that will improve performance and reduce cost.

The candidate is expected to be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment consisting of many stakeholders. Candidate must have strong communication skills. He/she must be able to understand and interpret risk and opportunities and how to deal with them, be able to support the development of Sustainment Plans, coordinate and facilitate meetings between customers, maintain program instructions, Business Rule documents, and sustainment planning documents. Candidate will lead and or be a participant in working group activities and be required to support contract deliverable requirements on-time. The candidate will work closely with the F-35 Joint Program Office, DOD Services and F-35 Partner Country Services to develop specific business rules that reflect the policies and procedures to be followed by the program.

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years work experience

Associates Degree and 7 years work experience

High School or GED and 11 years work experience

Experience working in a technical environment within an Integrated Product Team (IPT), as well as experience working within diverse teams

Knowledge and experience with one or more of the following: sustainment processes, Supply Chain Management, Support Equipment, Logistics Information Systems, Trade Studies, or Business Case Analysis

Strong skills with MS Office products (Access, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)

Understand Root Cause Analysis

Lean Six Sigma experience

Demonstrated success in solving complex problem

Experience with performance based logistics

Possess excellent technical report writing skills and be proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint,

Proven communication skills across various levels of management

Ability to develop and provide technical presentations

Lead development working group teams to a logical conclusion

Good negotiation skills

Research policy and procedural documentation for applicability to business rule candidates

Preferred Skills and Education · Experience with the F-35 Program

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Project Management
  • Previous logistics analysis and/or program management experience
  • Previous US Military Services and/or US DoD experience
