F-16 Support Equipment Software Engineer

Job Description
BAE Systems wants your Software Engineering talent for its Test Products and Supports business in Ft. Worth, Texas. As the world's largest provider of F-16 support equipment, you will be part of a critical team that provides mission readiness to this global fleet.

The Software Engineer will design, develop, test and document Windows-based applications for various aircraft support equipment items. The software will be developed using commercial tools such as C, C++, Java, National Instrument's Lab Windows/CVI and/or Test Stand. Experience in developing graphical user interface software using the Java Development Kit (JDK) is required and familiarity with Windows Device Driver development is a plus.

The ability to travel occasionally domestically and/or internationally is required to perform lab and aircraft testing. Previous electrical engineering, Cybersecurity or information assurance experience a plus but not required

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Experience with using commercial tools such as C, C++, Java, National Instrument's Lab Windows/CVI and/or Test Stand.
  • Experience in developing graphical user interface software using the Java Development Kit (JDK) is required.
  • Familiarity with Windows Device Driver development
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Preferred Skills and Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project.
  • DoD Secret security clearance
