Exercise Planner

Position supports the 34 th Combat Training Squadron (CTS) in scheduling, planning, and executing GREEN FLAG Little Rock (GFLR) exercises. Specifically, this position develops airlift exercise scenarios. They identify and schedule units to participate in exercise events. Attends the D-180 (Initial Planning), D-90 (Sustainment), D-45 (Main Planning) and other necessary planning conferences to develop the overall training scenarios, identify exercise objectives, and ensure Air Mobility Command (AMC) priorities and training requirements are addressed. Will deploy to Fort Polk LA to safely manage, execute, and train participants in the scheduled activities. Schedules aircraft sorties to maximize aircrew and air field operators’ joint training, and plans associated cargo load plans to meet those needs. Helps coordinate recovery of air-dropped loads and air-landed cargo for recycling to follow-on missions and track all training activities as they execute to ensure the day’s events flow. Coordinates last minute changes to achieve optimum training benefits. Additionally, this position coordinates Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape training for selected aircrew members. This work/position is scheduled to be required from roughly December 2016 through September 2017. This period could change based on mission and/or company/contract needs.

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education – Experience with military exercise planning to include exercise script development.

  • Knowledge of the steerable parachute delivery system, Joint Precision Airdrop System (JPADS) and the Low Cost Low Altitude (LCLA) airdrop systems.
  • Working knowledge of the Consolidated Air Mobility Planning System (CAMPS), the Intra-Theater Airlift Request System (ITARS), and the Global Decision Support System (GDSS).
