Enterprise Operations Director
The objective of the program is to provide O&M systems support to the government in maintaining and enhancing intelligence computer systems and networks. This Enterprise Operations Director will organize and direct a large team of IT professionals distributed around the globe performing Tier II and Tier III service support from a centralized location. BAE Systems is looking for a leader to manage the Global Enterprise Operations supporting a task for an Intelligence client. The Ops Director will task organize, develop process, and direct a team of IT professionals in a 24x7x365 support environment accountable for performing IT Operations Management and other IT functions such as technical and applications management. Responsibilities Include: Manage day to day operations of the IT services for a global enterprise. Plans and execute transitions, program initiatives, and schedules necessary to achieve determined goals. Provide guidance and direction to several functional mangers reporting to him/her, each with different individual responsibilities for executing operations and maintenance activities . Make presentations to management and customers on operational and technical matters. Interface with customers on a frequent basis. Provide leadership, anticipate and supervise the resolution of Incidents, and ensure inter-group cooperation/collaboration to meet operational obligations and objectives. Participates in crafting the Enterprise Operational Framework for this effort and taking responsibility for the service. Provide guidance and direction for local and geographically dispersed managers. Oversee the execution and monitoring of operational activities and events such as Console management, Job scheduling, Print and Output Management, and Maintenance. Provide day to day leadership, set goals, establish priorities, resolve incidents, and ensure team cooperation to meet all service objectives. Participate in crafting the Enterprise Operational Framework for this effort.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Experience leading a global workforce with a 24x7x365 presence. 15 years of IT service delivery management experience. 15 years of management experience. Proven track record of service improvement and results. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills and with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to multiple audiences. Knowledge of ITIL framework and terminology and experience operating within an industry based maturity model (COBIT, CMMI, Lean Six Sigma,). Crafting operational strategy and process. Ability to effectively multi-task and successfully manage multiple projects. Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills in order to evaluate situations make recommendations and take prompt, effective corrective action. Strong understanding and experience with the following technologies: Active Directory, Exchange 2010, Symantec Enterprise Vault, Quest, Print services, SQL, VMware, SharePoint, Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), EMC, UNIX, DNS, Other IT services including UNIX and Oracle administration CompTIA Network+ or Security+
Preferred Skills and Education
Security+, ITIL Foundation v3, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar degree or equivalent experience.
