Engineer/Scientist -Logistics

Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for a candidate with experience tailoring standard integrated logistics assessment elements and analysis processes for DoD elements involved with nuclear weapons. Specific experience working in or in conjunction with the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center. The candidate should have demonstrative capabilities in the following areas:

  • Supporting the development and integration of DP logistics management approaches/processes
  • Conducting analyses and studies of logistics management processes
  • Supporting configuration management efforts and activities.
  • Supporting technical and programmatic logistics assessments
  • Providing logistics management support to DOE/DoD programs


  • Typical Education & Experience

    Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience

    Required Skills and Education

    Required Education
    High School/GED with 14+ years of experience working with nuclear weapon systems

    Associates Degree with 10+ years of experience working with nuclear weapon systems
    Bachelor of Science Degree with 8+ years of experience working with nuclear weapon systems

    Master of Science Degree with 6+ years of experience working with nuclear weapon systems
    PhD with 3+ years of experience working with nuclear weapon systems

    *Required Skills
    Must be able to work independently, demonstrate strong initiative, and organize daily tasks with minimal supervision; strong communications skills (oral and written)

    Preferred Skills and Education

    Associates or Bachelor's degree with 20+ years of experience working with nuclear weapon systems; current U.S. Government security clearance highly desired (but not required); experience with ICBM weapon systems, nuclear surety requirements, or military technology and technical data
