Engineering Techonologist Help Desk Coordinator
Provides technical support to engineers and onsite for a variety of project activities.
Manages day to day Help desk tickets and communications
Performs weekly teleconference with end user and customers.
Provides detail oriented reports and tracking information.
Develops and recommends procedures and methods, and prepares technical reports and documentation.
Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommends and performs corrective action. Responsibilities are within the technical specialty/skilled trade function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.
Experience reading and interpreting drawings must be able to document daily activities, changes, and communicate these deviations to the project leads.
Ability to adhere/manage to a Strict Schedule, in addition to communicating, coordinating, and being accountable to the installation progress on site.
Coordinate all site activities: manage forward progress and report all activities, perform testing, training as needed in a support role.
Communication and articulate clearly- Daily interactions with assigned site personnel, the customer, and clients; Provide daily reports decimating all communication with the Project Lead.
Develop a clear understanding of all assigned program tasks and communicate all developments to the project lead.
Conducts surveys, recording required checklist information to incorporate into the survey reports. Able to produce clear and concise written survey reports according to the schedule.
Assist other team members in installation, inspections, testing, and compliance with specifications and designs. Provide clear and concise communications of activities required for installation.
Must be able to follow schematics and installation manuals.
Troubleshoots malfunctions and performs repairs by adjusting, calibrating, aligning or modifying circuitry and components utilizing hand and power tools.
Installs equipment field changes. Assembles and/or modifies wires, insulation and connector components using hand and power tools. Installs assemblies and hardware into housing.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Exerts frequent physical energy. Climbs ladders. Lifts and carries heavy objects. Occasionally exposed to disagreeable conditions. May work extended hours or weekends. May travel overnight or on weekends. May work second or third shift.
This position is located in scenic and historic Charleston, SC. There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Candidates must currently reside within commuting distance or clearly state willingness to relocate self to area.
