Job Description
1) The Lab Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that engineering labs meet all the requirements of internal and external/government security, safety and AS9100 audits. Additionally, the Lab Supervisor will oversee activities performed in engineering labs to include maintaining records for classified equipment, fabrication and testing of assemblies/subassemblies, all in accordance with AS9100 standards. The Supervisor will interface with Engineering and Business Area to understand and ensure labs are aligned and providing the lab space, resources, capabilities and assets necessary for programs in ECS to successfully execute hardware build and test efforts with the labs.

2) The Lab Supervisor for the ECS Business Area Lab will be directly responsible for supporting all lab resources for the labs under their control in accordance with the US Defense Hardware Engineering Lab Manual (ELM). The Lab Supervisor contributes to project success through the consistent and successful application of the lab standard operating procedures found in this document and applicable Site-Specific Documents (SSD's). The Lab Supervisor may supervise a small staff of less than 10 employees dotted line to the area Manager.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Equipment, Handling, Control and Calibration
Preventative Maintenance
Chemical/Materials Purchasing, Handling and Shelf Life Control
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
Foreign Object Damage & Debris (FOD)
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and Product Safety
Material Handling and Storage
The generation, release and maintenance of local Site-Specific Documents.
Lead and execute Lab process improvement initiatives, which included the execution of lab self-evaluations, safety assessment inspections
Work in conjunction with the Lab Staff, Project Lead(s) and cognizant Safety Representatives, to ensure all training and safety considerations are identified and in place prior to and during Project execution.
Supporting root cause analysis and subsequent implementation of corrective action resulting from internal/external audit findings in the labs.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Intermediate level Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience
Demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task competing priorities
