Engineer 1 - New college grad

Job Description
These positions are being opened to provide entry level opportunities for College graduates to work alongside experienced process engineers who support 5 Microelectronics factories that assemble and test Microwave electronics intended for aerospace products for military applications. The Microwave Factory has, and continues to undergo dynamic growth at the Nashua, New Hampshire campus. The factory floor space has doubled in the last 2 years and will continue to grow. This organic growth will position our Microelectronics Manufacturing capability for the long term.

The Process Engineering Organization is looking for May/June 2019 College Graduates who have attained an engineering degree to come on board, learn, and extend our capabilities to serve these five factories. Microelectronics skills will include several automation cells that dispense epoxy, pick and place components, & MMIC's, interconnect all components using ball and ribbon bonding techniques, then inspect using automatic inspection techniques. These positions will work directly with an engineering mentor on that automation and other tasks associated with Microwave Module Manufacturing using classic chip and wire techniques. Below is a list of common responsibilities within the process engineering role:

1. Monitors daily production activities and recommends product and process improvements to enhance the efficiency of operations and develops manufacturing routings, work instructions and flow charts, required to support the product build cycle.

2. Defines and specifies the requirement for assembly tooling, fixtures and equipment to support manufacturing operations; participates in Corrective Action Board (CAB) and dispositions discrepant material. Performs Preliminary Material Review/Material Review Board (PMR/MRB) for the disposition of discrepant material and determination of root cause/corrective action.

3. Provides technical assistance in the transitioning of designs to the manufacturing phase for product and process capability; monitors designs for compliance to design rules, and procedures in order to provide consistency in designs and manufacturing process. Applies known Microelectronics techniques to new designs and optimizes process performance.

4. Plans and monitors special evaluation programs on assemblies, components special processes, etc. due to design changes and/or problems developed during the manufacturing cycle; reviews, analyzes, and obtains corrective action on all customer problems.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education
May/June 2019 Engineering Graduates in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial disciplines. Other Engineering disciplines would be considered. Internships and Co-Op assignments applicable to an Electronics Manufacturing environment is desired
