The next generation of military radar, communication and EW systems will be defined by their ability intelligently adapt to dynamically changing environments. BAE Systems is looking for highly qualified candidates in the field of machine learning that will implement these solutions and ensure that the element of technological surprise remains firmly in the hands of the US and its allies.

In this position, you will architect ASIC and SoC solutions borrowing state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to enable advanced performance or new features. You will explore new methodologies to co-design architecture and hardware-centric algorithms. You will initiate and execute advanced research with significant long-term impact to our business. You will develop and maintain the hardware models and work with internal subject matter experts and external vendors to help build, design, and test the silicon.

Finally, you will collaborate with technology development partners in defining goals, developing a ML-focused strategy, and driving fast-paced silicon development to meet aggressive program metrics.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Area and power optimization analyses
  • Implementation design lead
  • Research novel hardware techniques for future machine learning accelerators
  • Planning and organizing design projects across all phases of the design process
  • Mentoring junior engineers on fundamental in designs, computer architecture
