The Survivability and Targeting Solutions (STS) Business Area is looking for an engineering lead to continue to drive the growth of three key engineering laboratories under the Threat Lab Group. This group encompasses the Jam Lab, Signal & Image Processing (SIP) Lab and the Worrell-Weeks Aircrew Protection Center (WWAPC). Roles & Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the growth of lab services in ways that build the STS and adjacent business areas
  • Build relationships with government labs and internal customers
  • Market lab and business area capabilities to generate CRAD funding and CRADA relationships working closely with Business Development for resources
  • Lead the growth of lab capabilities
  • Build infrastructure and capabilities to support the business growth plans (product and technical roadmaps)
  • Collaborate with government labs to lead or complement their capabilities
  • Keep abreast of technology and threat trends and lead the development of our knowledge base and capabilities
  • Develop and implement long term HITL strategy
  • Collaborate across STS and the Electronic Systems (ES) Sector
  • Lead Sensor / Counter Sensor collaboration across ES to develop more robust sensing systems and countering techniques. Internal program execution responsibilities
  • Ensure Multi-program, Cross Business Area access to Lab capabilities through efficient scheduling & coordination
  • Provide transient program assistance, planning & execution support
  • Continue to integrate capabilities in the WWAPC
