BAE Systems is seeking a section manager for the Combat Vehicles Obsolescence Management team. This individual provides technical and process leadership on Obsolescence Management across multiple programs.

Sponsors continuous improvement teams to define an organizational process compliant to DoD Guidebook SD-22. Deploys tools to support the execution of the process on programs. Develops and approves Obsolescence Management plans for programs. Monitors the implementation of those plans by team members. Integrates with Systems Engineering, Configuration Management, Design Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to coordinate Obsolescence Management actions.

Manages direct report staff. Ensures adequate staffing for all Combat Vehicle Programs and initiatives.

Supports Engineering initiatives. Supports continuous improvement initiatives in domains adjacent to Obsolescence Management.

Supports ISO, CMMI, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Quality and corporate audits.

Continuously strives to maintain and enhance the technical reputation of BAE Systems with customers and industry.

Maintains familiarity with industry practices, trends, and applications to enhance the organization's technical capabilities.

Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.

Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.

Position available to applicants at any of the following Combat Vehicles locations: Sterling Heights, Minneapolis, San Jose, York and Phoenix.
