Eng Sr - Elec
Supervises and trains staff in a function involving component engineering, component resolution, data management and various component engineering support activities.
Interface directly with manufacturers, distributors and customers to status components, perform obsolescence health analysis, resolve obsolete component issues and provide recommended engineering solutions.
This is the first level Supervisory position for this job family.
Reports directly to the Component Engineering and Verification Manager and provides activity and project status reports as required.
Reviews customer requirements and delivery schedules to plan, establish and assign tasks necessary to meet requirements. Selects and assigns staff according to requirements. Determines work schedules and assigns priorities necessary to comply with contract requirements.
Prepares and delivers customer and/or management level briefings
Supports Business Development activities by providing capability briefings as well as well as product demonstrations in both an online and face to face environment.
Provides customer training and technical support on the use of obsolescence management tools in both an online and face to face environment.
Ensures that the Component Engineering staff is working towards established operating objectives. Develops reviews and integrates programs and plans for their attainment and evaluates the overall effectiveness and efficiency.
Establishes and monitors Component Engineering work flow procedures and directives to ensure smooth operation.
Directs the work activities of subordinate employees. Conducts performance appraisals, reviews and approves schedules vacation and requests for time off. Resolves grievances and provides counseling to assigned employees when necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
