The Electrical/Software Engineer provides basic software support on all aspects of demonstrations or tasks; works directly on problems that are moderately complex to analyze, plan, program and operate; and confers with functional area experts and/or authorities to determine the software application requirements of a program. He or she also analyzes problems within a program; makes recommendations based on input from the government and other corporate personnel; and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsible for designing, modifying, developing, coding and implementing software programming for networks, operating systems , databases and applications. Potential programming areas include:

  • Networking
  • GUIs
  • Database querying
  • Other programming as required

This individual will also:

  • Support, install, and troubleshoot software
  • Support and aid in the assembly of computer hardware
  • Conduct research and aid in authoring studies

The ideal individual for this opportunity will be a self-motivator who learns quickly, meets deadlines and demonstrates adept problem-solving skills. This individual will be able to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner and will have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. This individual will be comfortable interacting with government Subject Matter Experts, end-users, and customers, in order to resolve issues, define requirements, and assist users with the application. Responsibilities will require working effectively in a team environment and independently.
