BAE Systems is currently searching for a senior-level engineer with current or relevant experience working on the Trident II D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) test program, specifically integration testing of SWS subsystems.

Interested candidates must demonstrate familiarity with system integration, test and evaluation methodologies, and the ability to communicate moderate to complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. The candidate will be expected to apply knowledge of and experience with requirements definition and test engineering principles, as well as have the ability to develop system level test plans and procedures, develop and analyze system/subsystem designs, and evaluate technical reports. Typical test engineering tasks include the following:

Developing requirements, test plans and evaluation techniques for new emerging test programs,

Developing and reviewing documentation to support program needs,

Establishing requirements traceability and writing test procedures for new test related initiatives,

Supporting development of data collection and analysis strategies and associated tools,

Providing on-site test support during test program execution,

Participating in data collection and analysis,

Preparing test analysis reports,

Tracking and resolving problems found during testing,

Participating in process development and process reengineering initiatives,

Participating in research and investigations as well as special studies,

Lead teams and working groups.

Specifically, this position will require participation in commonality studies as well as building and maintaining plans and milestones schedules for an emerging test programs. . Tasking includes identification and definition of changes to induce test commonality and develop analysis alternatives for ship weapon system test programs. The candidate is expected to review and modify existing requirement documents or create new test plans and procedures which verify that these requirements satisfy Weapon System performance parameter criteria.

The candidate will be expected to work independently, take responsibility and have the aptitude to provide insight to system level problems and to proposed solutions. The selected individual must possess the ability to present technical problems and status to the customer, have a positive attitude and be able to effectively multitask in a fast paced work environment.
