BAE Systems is seeking a skilled Process Improvement Engineer/Specialist to support a government customer. Selected Candidates will apply process improvement, reengineering methodologies, and best practice principles to design and implement process modernization and improvements to projects, workflows, systems, etc. Candidates will coordinate and manage analysis evaluations and quality assessments for proper implementation of programs, systems specifications, and quality standards, ensuring best possible support to customers and teams. Qualified Candidates will demonstrate experience establishing performance measures, monitoring and analyzing said performance metrics to identify and implement performance based improvements. Area of support will vary based on customer set, but will entail improving workflows and processes to best support mission at hand. Selected Candidates will need to be communication savvy and a team player with the ability to work closely with senior engineers/specialists or task leads. Further, Candidates must be able to clearly convey information in understandable terms to those not as familiar with process or workflow. This includes the ability to provide quantitative and qualitative feedback about the impacts of process changes in clear terms. Candidates will demonstrate experience in distinct functional or cross-functional analysis/assessment methodologies and associated tools and may also include relevant/associated certifications (e.g., ITIL, Six Sigma, CMMI, and ISO) and knowledge of applicable tools, methodologies, or best practices. Candidates may be responsible for leading project teams of engineers/specialists or other staff as necessary to complete process improvement implementation.
