The F-35 Evaluation & Standardization (E&S) Engineer position is located at Naval Air Station Lemoore, CA. BAE Systems is interviewing now for an expected contract award and start date in November 2017.

The individual will work in an IPT arrangement with employees of other companies. Additionally, they will work closely with the Tier 1 partners, Joint Strike Fighter Program Office (JSFPO) US and non-US customers. The role will provide operational support to the F-35 Pilot Training Operations Lead and support the F-35 Enterprise E&S Lead for the continued Evaluation and Standardization of Training systems products for US and non-US partners.

  • Managing all data collection efforts in order to sustain and improve training system effectiveness
  • Compiling data in order to create reports and produce metrics (Typically from student/instructor lesson/End-of-Course Critiques, Post Graduate Survey Responses, Field Interviews, Summative/Operational Evaluations, Lesson Times, Course Times, Schedule/Training Device Downtimes, etc…)
  • Reviewing/Tracking Training System Problem Report(s) (TSPR)s
  • Acting as a member of the Pilot Training Working Group (PTWG)
  • Supporting the development and design of evaluation procedures
  • Executing standardization efforts in support of the F-35 Training Enterprise according established Contractor Operating Instructions (COI)/Work Instructions (WI)
  • Supporting the development of site specific COIs/WIs
  • Conducting Course Readiness Reviews (CRRs)/Commencement of Formal Training (CFT) reviews (as assigned)
  • Coordinating the modification of evaluation processes to meet customer needs to improve training system effectiveness as a part of the training enterprise and according to E&S Tier 1 goals
  • Interfacing with customers in order to provide accurate recommendations for improvements to the training system
  • Preparing/presenting reports to management on quality indicators (as required)
  • Coordinating assigned Small Group Try Out (SGTO), contract milestone, and/or Joint Program Directed evaluations
  • Attending production meetings and provide assistance to other sites (Tier 1 E&S)
  • Conducting initial, periodic and annual academic and Training Device evaluations, certifications and de-certifications of all Contract Instructors
  • Providing engineering support for the development of future Performance Assessment capabilities
  • Conducting annual lesson reviews and test item analysis (as assigned)
  • Initiating corrective actions and track/report on data flow and collection efforts
  • Supporting distinguished visitor site visits and approved prime contractor assigned duties within the scope of contract
