Support our Digital Forensics Network and Technology Support on-site customer delivery team by providing systems software engineering services. This is an important customer mission enablement project which ensures the operational availability of state-of-the-art technologies and the technical expertise necessary to enhance and support customer's investigative efforts in the Counterintelligence, Counterterrorism, Criminal Investigative, and Cybercrime Programs.
The System Software Engineer will work with a team of varying skills, capabilities, and expertise in order to leverage technical solutions and knowledge to develop user friendly software tools and provide network solutions and repositories of technical information which enable law enforcement to access, acquire, and analyze, data from electronic devices.
The System Software Engineer will collaborate with multiple stakeholders in the scoping, design, and development of solutions. The position entails leveraging software development techniques utilizing Python, C, and Visual Studio C# to reconstruct known and unknown proprietary data structure (perform Extract, Transform, Load), develop tools based on raw engineering work products, and parse databases of structured data. The Systems Software Engineer will manage software development projects involving multiple developers on the team, as well as experience in generating requirements documentation.
The ideal candidate has a passion for both engineering and software engineering/development and desire to support an important federal mission with exposure to cutting edge technology and digital forensic / evidence collection/intercept capabilities.
