BAE Systems is looking for well qualified professionals to join our team for an exciting opportunity to support the readiness and sustainment of the USAF Minuteman III (MM III) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) program. The ICBM System Program Office must ensure a safe, secure and reliable MM III weapon system as required by the war fighter, Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), through 2030. This activity is identified as the Future ICBM Sustainment and Acquisition Construct (FISAC). The Contract will assist in acquisition and technical sustainment engineering and train and develop this capability in the government.

This position will be located at Vandenberg AFB, CA:

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical support to both Air Force and contractor personnel for Minuteman III Reentry System and both the Mk 12A and Mk 21 Reentry Vehicle programs at VAFB. This includes verifying hardware configuration requirements, monitoring hardware processing tasks, system integration, launch preparation, supporting launch activities, analysis of flight data for quick-look evaluation of both RS and RV performance and preparation of the RS/RV portion of the preflight report required for each flight.
  • Publish vehicle performance reports to include white papers and technical letters.
  • Provide engineering support to investigate missile flight test anomalies and provide analysis in determining causes/malfunctions and develop corrective action solutions.
  • Attend operational test launch meetings.
