BAE Systems is looking for talented experienced software engineers who are looking for a company that fosters a work environment in which technical excellence is highly valued. You will apply your skills to develop high-quality real-time embedded software for either new or fielded platforms. You will be exposed to the full software life-cycle from requirements development through integration and testing.

Duties include developing software designs for testing complex infrared aircraft protection systems. You will also be developing real-time, embedded software utilizing sound software engineering principles, conforming to existing code development strategies and processes. You will be evaluating complex software designs to identify design flaws, troubleshoot problems during integration and test, and help with preparing design documentation in accordance with established processes. You will verify complex designs to ensure conformance with specifications and customer requirements and assist in the development of software requirements, cost estimates and the preparation of proposals. You will utilize either a Windows PC or Linux based software development and a Linux/Unix Test environment.

You will provide project management reporting, documentation, and updates to internal project management. There may be opportunities to participate and brief technical content to the customer during external reviews.
