BAE Systems' F35 Lightning II program has an exciting

opportunity for a junior software engineer to develop and deliver

functionality using Java, C++, and related technologies to

process, manage, display, and forecast Fleet Management aircraft data to allow services and industry to plan, forecast and maintain the life of the JSF Fleet of aircraft.

The software system will manage data at both the

squadron and the fleet level to support maturation of the F-35

System as well as providing wide engineering analysis capabilities

of F-35 data.

The position requires software development experience, Object

Oriented Design (OOD) methodology, and analysis experience. Software

development experience with Java or related languages along with Oracle

database experience, and experience developing web

applications, is a plus.

Applicant will be responsible for requirements analysis, design/mechanization,

development/coding, test, maintenance, and documentation of

software for the F-35 Fleet Management team. The applicant will work

closely with other software and systems engineers, as well as the

customer, to develop Fleet Management software using an Agile software

development methodology. The applicant will apply the

appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools

throughout the software development lifecycle.

This role requires a desire and ability to work in a team

environment, and good verbal, written, and communications skills

are essential.

Applicant will interface with Customers, Application Users, and

other technical and support personnel on a regular basis, and will

interact with an international team of engineers to develop F-35

Software.
