Directly support and champion the Continuous Improvement efforts. Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering role working with shop and support staff to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth of production.

May lead cross functional teams, workshops, training, Kaizen teams. Evaluate and analyze current processes, recommend, and implement solutions. The emphasis is on implementation and requires direct hands-on efforts. Efficiency / Productivity will be a key emphasis.

Lean manufacturing champion efforts to improve process flow, factory layout, flow time, yield, and waste elimination. Will use Lean methods including: Standard Work, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, Set Up Reduction, Kanban & Pull Systems, Value Stream Mapping, Poke Yoke Mistake Proofing.

Will support various programs and manufacturing areas including mechanical assembly, electronics assembly, testing, automated equipment, Surface Mount Technology products, cleaning, material handling, etc. Other support projects will include planning, logistics, packaging, and work method updates.

May assist in product transitions between factories, product ramp ups, new product introductions.
