BAE Systems is seeking an Engineer I to join an intermingled team of engineers, technologists and military veterans. This position will be located in Mount Laurel, NJ where Technology and Teamwork come together! The qualified candidate will provide Engineering and Technical support to the Test & Evaluation (T&E) Division Head at Aegis Technical Representative (AEGIS TECHREP) in Moorestown, NJ.

Candidate's primary role will involve support of the US Navy and specifically the TECHREP customer in verification of various design performance aspects involving the integration of the AEGIS Weapon System with Ballistic Missile Defense functionality in an AEGIS Combat System environment. The activity will feature customer support with test program implementation, execution, analysis, and report out in support of government computer program certification decisions.

The selected candidate will be expected to apply knowledge of the AEGIS Weapon System & the integrated Ballistic Missile Defense capabilities in a test program designed to verify government acceptance requirements were met by the system developer. The successful candidate must demonstrate applicable talent supporting an ability to establish the intent of relevant acceptance requirements from system level specifications and then design and/or review test procedures built to test and capture test artifacts for those requirements. Follow-on work would include assisting the Navy customer to ensure that any needed operational enhancements are properly documented and that critical issues are promptly expedited & implemented correctly in support of the fleet.

One or more of the following abilities would be considered central to the position: US Navy / AEGIS experience (OS, FC, GM, ST, ET, STO, CSMM, etc.); perform and/or witness system level integration of computer programs, collection of relevant data, analysis of test results, documentation of equipment failures, tracking of problem resolutions, and reporting out on the findings.

Generally, work hours are standard, but some second and/or third shift hours may be required. The position may occasionally involve travel to external test sites and might include off hours testing dictated by external factors governing equipment availability.
