Job Description
BAE Systems is building a team of System Analysts to develop computer systems specifications and requirements that address business requirements and that fit with the system architecture standards being developed for the Intelligence Community. Our team of analysts establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. The team also analyzes, enhances, installs, tests and modifies enterprise-wide operating systems for new and/or existing systems.

Supports Emerging Capabilities Research Scientist. Takes relationships, patterns, associations, and exploitation approaches identified by Research Scientist and conducts trade studies to identify potential qualified solutions, and performs analysis of alternatives to identify the preferred solution by considering criteria such as cost, schedule, performance, complexity, compatibility, and risks. Provides DIA with expanded situational awareness of emerging IT technologies to better identify and revise resourcing strategies to support the development of big data and related technologies. Collaborate with DoD agencies, MILDEPs, National Laboratories, other Government agencies, academia, and industry to identify and exploit advanced technologies introducing new and unanticipated capabilities.

Work Locations for this opportunity are located primarily in Sterling VA and Joint Base Anacostia Bolling. However, other work locations are available in Reston VA, Charlottesville VA, Doral Florida and other CONUS and OCONUS. We're hiring multiple candidates for this position, ranging in skill levels from Junior to Subject Matter Expert.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business disciplines, or 4 years of full time CM work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 0-3 years | 4-8 years | 9-12 years |13+ years of related experience.
  • Active TS clearance
  • Experience as a CM in programs and/or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Experience defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures; such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build process
Preferred Skills and Education
  • Experience supporting the missions of analysts in the Defense Intelligence Agency or Combatant Commands.
  • Experience implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures.
  • Experience using configuration management tools (e.g. DOORS, Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration items.
  • Experience documenting hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures.
  • Experience implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures.
