Embedded Software/Hardware Engineer
Electronic Combat Solutions business area is seeking candidates to develop Embedded Software applications for Freescale and Intel processors, interfacing these processors with host interfaces.
Candidate will be a part of a team that will architect next generation processor modules.
Candidate must have excellent leadership skills, communication skills and be able to work cross-functionally between the Hardware and Software organizations.
Responsibilities may include:
Architect, design, and implement built in test (BIT) functions, including:
Start up BIT, Periodic/Operational BIT, and Initiated BIT for specific hardware debug.
Provide interface between Hardware and Software functions during Architecture, Design, Implementation, and Debug phases of programs.
Architect, design, and implement Graphical User Interfaces used for programming and testing processor based modules.
Support Automation of module level acceptance and verification testing in order to reduce costs.
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Eligible for DOD Security Clearance.
Motivated self-starter with leadership skills and ability to effectively work in a team environment.
Excellent problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability. Ability to program device drivers in Windows, Linux, or Unix.
Extensive knowledge of C/C++ and PERL
Experience with Source Control tools such as GIT, Subversion or CVS.
Experience in complete Software Lifecycle from Specification to Verification.
Able to perform complex and/or low level debugging of Hardware/Software.
Able to multi-task and prioritize between multiple job assignments.
Preferred Skills and Education Active DOD Security Clearance
Freescale and Intel Multi-thread process applications
DDRx memory interfaces
Flash memory interfaces
PCIe and other high speed serial interfaces
