Job Description

BAE Systems - FAST Labs is looking for a technician for our Merrimack, New Hampshire RFSOC group. We are seeking an individual with general lab experience and experience in testing electrical circuits. Candidate will be familiar with signal sources, network analyzers, meters and power supplies. Candidate will be responsible for test stand calibration and operation (including cabling and other connections). Duties will include; measuring gain, loss, NF, phase noise, linearity and digital logic, and memory operation. Candidate will be able to characterize and troubleshoot RF and millimeter wave devices.

Candidate must have a good intuitive and mathematical understanding of transistor-level circuits, trouble shooting approach, and should understand layout issues that drive analog/RF measurements

The candidate must be able to identify and evaluate circuit topologies and understand where to insert measurement probes and how to take data and be able to present the results in a clear and way.

The candidate must have good people skills and be able to work with limited supervision as part of a team. The ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in technical areas is also crucial.

Required Skills and Education

Required Education:
Two year program degree in electrical technology field (or equivalent experience)

Required Skills:

• Two year EE technology degree or equivalent experience required, with lab experience
• Proficiency with RF and Digital cabling and equipment hookup
• Experience with circuit operation and troubleshooting
• Testing experience with analog and RF circuits
• Good written and oral communication skills (including Microsoft Office)
• Some Familiarity with testing scripts

Preferred Skills and Education

  • BS in Electronic Engineering
  • 2+ yrs experience in RF and digital testing
  • mmWave circuit familiarity
  • Automated testing (Matlab, GPIB, Labview etc...)
  • Digital test data recording
  • RF Data recording
  • Probe testing a plus
