Director Sustainment Solutions

Job Description
We are seeking a passionate, self-starting, high performing leader with relevant program management experience and demonstrated ability to collaborate pro-actively within diverse teams to support electronic combat solutions sustainment efforts.

The Sustainment Director will be responsible to work with executing program teams to develop and influence sustainment strategies, lead sustainment captures and the development of tactical plans to achieve readiness objectives.

We are flexible in the location for the position. Travel, both domestic and international will be required.

The selected candidate will work with multiple disciplines to develop sustainment solutions to meet operational requirements for both domestic and international customers. Mission areas include integrated logistics, sustaining engineering, post-production upgrades, supply chain management, support equipment sustainment, readiness and cost reduction initiative management and business case analysis is a must.

The role requires communication skills to lead strategic sustainment captures and provide subject matter expertise support to major captures/pursuits.

Experience building and maintaining customer relationships is essential for this role as well as the ability to manage complex projects with multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities include developing and maturing strategic relations to meet customer requirements for long term sustainment of electronic solutions.

Candidate must have excellent communication (written, verbal and active listening).Proficient in developing presentations (power Pont) and written documentation for executive level.

Candidate must be comfortable working in a very dynamic, fluid environment and enjoy problem solving. Familiarity with DOD 5000.02 acquisition policies and process, product support management, and integrated product support element guides a plus. Familiarity with DOD and international military protocols, customers and courtesies is a plus.

Required Skills and Education
Bachelor's degree or higher education

Experience performing acquisition and/or sustainment for aerospace/defense products for either domestic or international customers

Demonstrated success in leading teams and/or organizations to achieve common goal

Experience in program management,

Proposal and/or business capture experience

Demonstrated problem solving skills

Preferred Skills and Education

Ability to work positively with the customer and wide range of individual/functions involved in program management with strong leadership skills

Ability to act independently within established guidelines

Familiarity with DOD 5000.02 acquisition policies and process, product support management, and integrated product support element guides a plus. Familiarity with DOD and international military protocols, customers and courtesies is a plus.

Strategy development

Demonstrated experience support and maintenance of DOD military equipment (Airborne, Ground and/or Undersea)

Experience coaching and mentoring
