Director Recruitment Marketing
BAE Systems’ Director of Recruitment Marketing is responsible for actively managing our recruitment marketing efforts to attract high-quality candidates and help convert them into happy, productive employees. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the recruitment marketing lifecycle: (1) continuously assessing our employee value proposition (EVP); (2) defining our message and understanding our audiences / target populations; (3) communicating our EVP; and (4) evaluating the effectiveness of our advertising and EVP activities. You will have the pleasure of supervising our Social Media specialist and will be supported by a recruitment analytics data scientist to make data-informed decisions and recommendations. You will also manage several vendors such as our creative agency, relocation and background check vendors.
This position is part of the Workforce Analytics, Talent Operations, and HR Compliance Center of Expertise (WAC COE), an enthusiastic and highly productive team, where each employee has the opportunity to grow and make an impact. Responsibilities will include:
Serve as the company’s subject matter expert on recruitment / employer marketing, advertising and EVP management.
Develop advertising and EVP strategy, to include job descriptions, job boards, social media, SEM strategy, etc., leveraging input from creative agency and internal Communications team.
Research and evaluate social media and other marketing channels to find new sources for targeted candidates.
Develop a strong partnership with and communicate regularly with our Sector Talent Acquisition Directors to really understand, and be responsive to, their short term and strategic hiring, advertising and EVP branding needs.
Collaborate with recruitment analytics data scientist to leverage analysis and apply behavioral / cognitive sciences to EVP marketing.
Work with the data scientist to track and evaluate effectiveness and make course corrections, of web properties, job board, social media and other campaigns in driving job consideration and where applicable, candidate conversion.
Objectively assess our EVP by analyzing employee and candidate survey data, monitoring external sources for sentiment, and comparing us to our competitors.
Manage our existing online properties (e.g., Careers and Jobs websites) maximizing effectiveness and keeping the content fresh, engaging and up-to-date.
In partnership with our Procurement team and key internal stakeholders, lead proposal and selection efforts for new Careers site and other vendors, as current contracts expire, or as needed.
Identify, improve, and create programs to engage current and alumni employees as sources for EVP advocacy and high quality referrals.
Leverage, educate and support recruiters and sourcers.
Manage vendor relationships with branding and other talent acquisition vendors to ensure delivery of quality services.
Required Skills and Education Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a Marketing, Business, or equivalent degree. Master’s preferred.
15 years of experience in building marketing / branding strategies across multiple channels, with a strong focus on digital and social media. Recruitment marketing experience preferred.
Experience in recruiting or supporting recruiting functions.
A doer, highly productive team member, who “owns” and actively manages projects to completion.
Strong collaborator and partner who can influence up and down in the organization.
Experienced vendor manager.
Must be a creative and curious thinker with an analytical mindset who loves what they do.
