Dir I- Procurement

The successful candidate will assume the leadership role for Electronic Systems / The Procurement Transformation Project in developing and implementing global commodity sourcing strategies based on existing and forecasted spend, demand and supply challenges, and marketplace conditions, ensuring alignment with sector, BAE Systems Inc. and PLC objectives. The Electronic Systems Sector accounts for $1.5B direct spend globally and will be growing significantly in the next 5 years. This candidate will lead and/or assist in the formulation and implementation of sourcing strategies, participate on cross-functional teams that ensure that BAE Systems is leveraging spend, driving best value and improving overall supplier performance. Leads teams on assigned projects required for the sourcing of various material (mechanical fabricated, cable & harness, electromechanical, PWB's and electronic components). This is accomplished following established and approved procurement policies and procedures in order to provide the lowest cost consistent with quality and service requirements while maintaining good supplier relations. Demonstrated performance at a senior level in supplier relationship management with significant scale of spend.
