Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Deputy Program Manager (Program Manager I) to join our team supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing Modernization Program (DoD HPCMP) located in the National Capital Region (NCR). The successful candidate will assist the overall contractor lead responsible for the performance of the work supporting the HPCMP contract and provide management of support at five regional HPC centers. This role has full authority to act on behalf of BAE Systems for all matters pertaining to the contract and represents the company in joint meetings with the customer on full range of HPC topics.

This position helps manage, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrates and execute a collection of Cross Center projects supporting the HPCMP; ensures achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives; participates in the support of new business and in the development of financial plans for the company; demonstrates strong leadership in ethics, safety and security; and provides direct people-management as required.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, business administration, computer science, computer engineering and/or information systems or other related discipline
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years management experience with a minimum of ten (10) years IT organizational support management experience in programs with more than 200 employees and multiple locations; experience can be Federal or private industry
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • ITIL Foundation v3 or v4, or obtain within 6 months of start date

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • ITIL v4 Managing Professional desired
  • Experience with the specification, analysis, and procurement assistance with large HPC systems
