Deputy Product Center Leader (DPCL) - Engine Systems

Job Description

To support strategic initiatives and drive execution in order to enable the team to meet business objectives.

Typical Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

PROJECT EXECUTION/DELIVERY

• Work closely with the Product Center Lead to identify leadership-level tasks that fit with areas of expertise, assume accountability on these tasks as appropriate, and drive results

• Develop action plans according to priorities as determined by the Product Center Lead

• Drive continuous improvement to ensure external/internal delivered quality, product center cost, and cash management goals are met within this area of the business

• Ensure that effective cross-functional working relationships are in place and effectively maintained to facilitate the smooth execution of project work

• Organize and lead project teams

o Develop teams to implement / execute projects

o Follow up on project delivery based on predetermined deadlines

• Take part in project related presentations, feedback on results, etc.

STRATEGY

• Support the architecture of macro strategy at Product Center Leader level

• Assist the Product Center Lead to align and implement team level strategy by developing annual operational and tactical (execution) plans that will enable the team to meet goals and objectives

TEAM COLLABORATION

• Work closely with all areas of the team to ensure effective collaboration and influence team success

• Identify and communicate development needs to the Product Center Lead

• Identify gaps in team structure and recommend solutions

• Drive culture of Inspirations@Work

SAFETY

• Ensure compliance to all aspects of Safety

• Proactively maintain a safe working environment

• Comply with audits

Preferred Skills and Education

• Advanced-level technical skills and knowledge of technical requirements and system flows skills relevant to job / area of work

• Lean certification and/or Green Belt preferable
