Database Management Analyst

Job Description

Database Management Analyst will:

Provide Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), Reliability, Availability, & Maintainability - Cost (RAM-C) Implementation and Production and Procurement Database administration and management support for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), LCS Sea Frame, LCS Mission Module, Tomahawk, Tomahawk Tactical Weapon Control System, Tomahawk All-Round- Up, Gun Weapon System (GWS), Supporting Arms Coordination System (SACC-A), Naval Fires Control System (NFCS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), and Harpoon programs.
Provide technical data management services in the maintaining, reporting and sustaining of the databases.
Respond to and accomplish data update and cleaning as is directed in the technical process guides
Develop and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions for database users

Evaluate and recommend changes to Failure Data metrics to better support multiple users

Provide general data management duties to maintain a reliable data solution within the databases

Review and recommend database modifications to assure efficient operation

Participate and provide recommendations for processing and data management changes to the Configuration Control Board (CCB) evaluation and provide written summation of evaluated recommendations back to the CCB

Work with and respond to user questions and technical support for effective and efficient operation of the database and processes

Collect and develop trend-metrics reporting solutions to support RAM-C community

Support Database Administrator and the Reliability Engineer in reviewing and modifying Integrated Failure Data (IFD)

Support creation and tracking of program plans

Support the management and update of the Action Tracker

Work with the NSWC PHD Suitability team to assure the FRACAS Database supports data management requirements to include data updates, evaluation, cleanse, review, failure data de-confliction, manual updates, configuration control, and other data management duties.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education
Must have an active final DoD Clearance.

Preferred Skills and Education

Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar degree .
