Cyber Security Manager

Job Description
BAE Systems is building a team of Cyber Security Experts to provide Capability Based Assessments (CBA) analysis and documentation for future cyberspace capabilities of Air Force cyberspace weapon systems. Our Cyber Security Program Manager will provide requirements development and management; lead this team of Cyber Security Experts responsible for ensuring the customer's national and international security interests are protected; and support equipment is designed and tested. The candidate will collaborate with ACC Cyberspace Mission Team (CMTs) to build Planning Choice inputs and long-range modernization plans for their cyber portfolio.

The Cyber Security Program Manager will also be responsible for the following duties:

  • Performs analysis of network security, based upon the Risk Management Framework (RMF) with emphasis on Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG) authorization process
  • Provides expert support, research and analysis of exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to them
  • Provides expert level consultation and technical services on all aspects of Information Security
  • Serves as technical expert to the Cybersecurity Assessment Program providing technical direction, interpretation and alternative solutions to complex problems
  • Oversees Science & Technology, Capability Collaboration Teams, and conducts analysis, and develops requirements for emerging programs
  • Provides support for seven cross-ACC directorate teams to manage existing cyberspace weapon systems
  • Conducts analysis capability gaps; incorporates capability gaps from operational units/NAFs into cyber weapon system modernization plans
  • Contributes to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities for system and networking operations
  • Responsible for coordinating test planning and fielding authorization for modifications or new capabilities.
  • Oversee and manage the technical project(s) and serves as a liaison between project management and planning, project teams, and line management
  • Prepare project execution plans and identifies technical and business resources needed
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules and prepares status reports
  • Validates system security requirements definition and analysis
  • Establishes system security designs
  • Provides input and guidance of security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures to accomplish network security; verifies security requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Candidates filling these positions should have experience in ACC/A5K cyberspace weapon system programs including but not limited to systems within the Air Superiority, Global Precision Attack, ISR, C2, Personal Recovery, and Cyberspace portfolios; Experience in Offensive and Defensive Cyber Operations testing and implementation; able to spearhead the development and integration of future leading edge capabilities to defend critical assets from cyber-attack.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related engineering discipline and 8 years of experience
  • Understands the Air Force Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodology and able to successfully implement an information technology process which shall effectively protect the element's information assets and its ability to perform its mission
  • Must be able to develop requirements, perform contract and financial management
  • Knowledge of Defense Procurement and Acquisition processes
  • DoD 8570 compliant with a minimum of CompTIA Security + certification
  • Active TS clearance and held TS SCI within the past two years
Preferred Skills and Education
  • Operational Air Force experience desired
  • Certified at Level III IAM or level IASAE I-III with CISSP, CISM or GSLC credential
  • PMP Certification
  • Ability to break down technical concepts into business terms
  • Prior performance in roles such as ISSO, ISSM, ethical hacker, or penetration tester
  • Experience in the building of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) checklists
  • Experience in the building of Tactics, Techniques and Processes (TTPs) and Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) associated with service checklists
  • Active TS SCI clearance
