Counsel, International Compliance
The Office of International Compliance at BAE Systems, Inc. consists of three attorneys – the VP and Associate General Counsel International Compliance, the Counsel, International Compliance, and a Principal Attorney, as well as two Senior International Compliance Specialists. The Counsel, International Compliance assists the VP and AGC International Compliance with administration of BAE Systems, Inc.‘s Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Program. The Counsel is responsible for overseeing the administration and conducting due diligence on International Advisers (marketing representatives and distributors) and U.S. Lobbyists, as well as reviewing submissions from the business for U.S. Domestic Advisers and reviewing and approving International Adviser Payments. The Counsel assists with training programs on our Anticorruption and Advisers policies, and with reviewing international gifts and hospitality requests in conjunction with the business ethics teams. The Counsel, International Compliance, will also be involved in any investigations relating to our Adviser or Anticorruption policies, and for assisting with anticorruption Mergers and Acquisitions due diligence. The Counsel may also be responsible for assisting with additional third party or Offsets due diligence as required.
This position requires significant international and domestic travel both for anticorruption due diligence interviews and for training foreign subsidiaries. The position requires a significant amount of contact with business development and contracts personnel. This position requires a high level of interpersonal relationship skills and strong organizational ability, including the ability to juggle multiple projects at once. Minimum Education and Experience •U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or permanent resident)
- Strong academic qualifications including a JD from an accredited
law school and membership in at least one State bar
- 8-10+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 3-5
focused primarily on FCPA in a law firm or the U.S.

Preferred Skills and Education Foreign language facility in one of the following languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Korean or Polish.
