Controls Systems Engineer III
BAE Systems, one of the world's largest defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, is hiring Control Systems Engineers for our chemical manufacturing facility in Kingsport, TN.
The Control Systems Engineer is responsible for design and implementation of Process Control Systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) and Human Machine interfaces (HMI's) including developing the controls systems software. The position will also develop proposals and perform commissioning of Siemens PCS7 control systems.
Work with project teams to implement and commission large modernization projects.
Evaluate control system's technical documents for accuracy and veracity.
Develop complete software applications for PLC based control systems using Siemens PCS7.
Develop control systems designs, estimates and plans.
Perform checkouts including equipment operation and safety interlocks.
Develop commissioning plans.
Develop scopes of work and specifications for subcontractors.
Assist in the development of operational control documents (e.g. Standard Operating Procedures) and training plans for operations personnel.
Participate in Hazard Analyses of both new and existing processes.
