Configuration & Requirements Analyst

Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a successful candidate who will bring general knowledge of Configuration Management and Requirements Management as it relates to requirements analysis and design, traceability methods and processes. Primarily, the work will be done at the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Dahlgren.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide Configuration Management (CM) process development and products for the Naval Integrated Fire Control (NIFC) Program.
  • Maintain the NIFC Requirements Specifications, CM Plan, and various NIFC Program documents and plans using MagicDraw, DOORS and MS Word.
  • Provide document management for updating the specification; Question in Review (QIR) generation, consolidation, and adjudication; incorporating change documentation into the document master file; and distributing CM-controlled Specification to the NIFC Community.
  • Support the development of new baseline requirements.
  • Serve as a secretariat/alternate to attend/support monthly board meetings.
  • May be required to travel from Dahlgren, VA to Washington, DC 1-2 times per month

  • Typical Education & Experience
    Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

    Required Skills and Education
    Typical Education and Experience: High School Diploma and at least 4 years of related office experience with demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Access/Excel/Word/Outlook.

    The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills and good communication skills to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This candidate will work independently and directly with project managers and engineers from government and industry to maintain configuration management of requirements for a major U.S. Navy combat system.

    Must be willing/able to travel, may be required to take 1-2 trips per month from Dahlgren, VA to Washington, DC.

    Security Clearance Requirement: Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.

    Preferred Skills and Education
    Highly desired but not required skills/experience:
  • Experience in Configuration Management for combat/weapon systems
  • Experience with controlling classified documentation.
  • Working knowledge of DOD Configuration Management Policies and Procedures
  • Experience in the processing of change control documentation and development of CM Plans
  • MagicDraw, DOORS, and SharePoint experience
