Responsibilities include the following:
Perform System Administration on Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) tactical information systems.
Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, provide access control, monitor, and log analysis for Navy combat systems, tactical computer systems, and networks.
Troubleshoot and repair tactical hardware and software. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Minimum education and required years of related work experience required: High School/GED and at least 6 years of experience supporting Navy computer systems and networks. If the selected candidate is not PQS 301 qualified, he/she will be required to obtain PQS 301 qualification within first week of employment. If the selected candidate does not currently hold Security + certification, he/she will be required to obtain Security + within 6 months of date of hire.
Security clearance requirement: Eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Selected candidate will receive a contingent offer and start date will be delayed until at least an interim Secret clearance is granted.
IT-1 level clearance per SECNAV M-5510.30
Must be willing and able to provide a state issued driver’s license and complete DMV records upon date of hire. If position requires driving of a vehicle 10k lbs and more than 15 passengers, selected candidate must provide proof of completion of Navy Driver Training, in addition to state issued driver’s license and complete DMV records
Preferred Skills and Education Highly desired, but not required:
Active DoD Secret security clearance
Navy Maintenance Certification in accordance with PQS -301, NAVEDTRA 43241-K (selected candidate must obtain within first week of employment)
Information Assurance Technicians (IAT) Level 2 or higher with certification in current Networking Technologies, Operating Systems or Information Security (as per DoD Directive 8570) (selected candidate must obtain within 6 months of employment)
