Computer Engineer

The selected candidate will apply knowledge of computer networks and applications to develop data communications systems, including local area and wide area networks (LAN/WAN). Uses scientific logic to independently identify solutions to problems of automated data processing (ADP) hardware or software system design and operation. Analyzes and formulates architectural and functional specifications, interfaces, and data structures. Researches unconventional applications for ADP hardware, software, and operating systems. Writes, modifies, and adapts computer programs in machine level, assembly, and third or fourth generation programming languages.

The position is to create a pipeline for a proposal supporting NAWCAD in Southern MD. Anticipated award date is late 2017. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of work experience Required Skills and Education At least 4 years of experience directly involved with ATM, frame relay, TCP/IP, Ethernet, Cisco routers and switches, CSU/DSUs, hub installation, NT Domains, and UNIX
