Communications Systems Electrical Engineer II

Job Description

The selected applicant will apply knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques to develop and evaluate moderately complex technical reports for US Navy (USN) Command, Control, Communications and Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems.
The applicant will create and analyze moderately complex engineering documentation and work with new systems and equipment currently deployed aboard US Navy ships.

This position is headquartered in St. Mary's County, Maryland near to Patuxent River Naval Air Station. Will be required to make regular trips to the California MD office for project collaboration.

Typical Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of work experience

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics discipline and at least 2 years of related experience in USN C4I systems
Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
Understanding of communications theory of operation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment or independently

Preferred Skills and Education

USN surface compartment and amphibious assault operational experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to be self-motivated
Ability to work independently and report regularly on project status, risk and opportunities
